I have been wearing Shureido New Wave 1 for competition kumite for so long, I have lost track how long. Perhaps from it’s release. I do very little kata compition, so I wear my New Wave 1 in kata. The fabric is soft to the touch but holds it’s integrity and form to execute a crisp karate technique. For kumite: Shureido New Wave 1 gives free movement, the gi holds its form and absorbs sweat, compaired to some other well known kumite brand gi that stick to you because of their hi polyester compistition. Not the Shureido New Wave 1, the fabric is fantastic no matter how sweaty you are. I now wear Shureido New Wave 1 as my training gi in the dojo for at least 5 years. I wash, drip dry and go - no ironing. Highly recommend Shureido New Wave 1. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
